Hazelgrove Park
Purpose
To provide maintenance free, vandal resistant, fully accessible public washroom in a park setting. Concrete installation features for the park include the popular “Parkour” court, concrete bridge, architectural concrete feature walls and retaining walls.
Components
The washroom facility was constructed with concrete walls and ceilings. Blue translucent windows were incorporated into the walls giving the building unique inside lighting. Vandal resistance toilet partitions, maintenance free flooring and efficient LED lighting were used to minimize maintenance. A large splash pad and play components were installed with the controls coming from the washroom mechanical room. Architectural concrete walls were installed with Ipe benches and acrylic features. One of the first complete "parkour" court with steel monkey bars, architectural concrete walls of varying heights and features complete with poured in place rubber surfacing.
