Concrete retaining walls serve as seats to view and relax while watching the children play. A number of recycled, durable and local materials are integrated into the construction of Saint Mary’s Park.  Including use of reclaimed granite bricks, salvaged from the historic streets of New Westminster, to build the gabion bench seats on either side of a long communal picnic table located in the community garden.
